Tour Overview

From Kuala Lumpur Batu Caves Cultural Temple Tour
Depart Kuala Lumpur or Petaling Jaya at 09:00 or 14:00 and drive to Batu Caves through Little India and Brickfields, a colourful neighbourhood with unique shops. After a scenic 30-minute drive, visit the Batu Caves to see Hindu shrines and deities. Climb 272 steps to Lord Murugan's golden statue while your guide explains the nation's Hindu roots. Once at the top, visit Cathedral Cave, the largest cave in the complex, and learn about this most intricate Hindu shrine. Drive to Robson Heights' 6-tiered pagoda Thean Hou Temple. The Kuala Lumpur Hainanese community built it in 1987 and dedicated it to Tian Hou (The Heavenly Mother). China Town has dozens of Chinese, Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi restaurants and food stalls. Watch as they prepare local favourites like curry noodles, Hokkien mee, ikan bakar, and asam laksa (a sour, fish and tamarind-based soup). Visit the stunning National Mosque of Malaysia (Masjid Negara) in 13 acres of gardens. Admire its late 1950s architects' bold approach to symbolising the newly independent nation's aspirations. Tours end with hotel drop-offs.
